Wearing Instructions
These instructions will save you time and avoid unnecessary damage to the suit.
If wearing a suit for the first time it can feel slightly claustrophobic, don't panic!
A swimming wetsuit is designed to fit like a second skin. It should feel very snug when you put it on. When you begin your swim the wetsuit will fill with water, which will expand the suit and slightly lift it away from your body. The water between the suit and your body will quickly warm to a comfortable temperature.
1. Remove watches or wrist jewellery.
2. Avoid nail contact with the rubber. Use your fingertips!
3. The body should be dry.
4. Zip goes to the rear.
5. Pull the legs on the suit should be a good 6" above the ankle bone peel the suit up the leg making sure that the suit fits snugly into the crutch area before fitting the upper part of the suit.
6. Bunch your fist and put one arm in at a time making sure the suit is a good 3” above the wrist bone doing this will bring the upper arm into the correct position and will ensure that the neck line is also correct.
7. To zip the suit up pull your shoulder blades back together and get a friend to zip you up in the suit. The suit should feel and look like a second skin, when you swim it takes on a small amount of water and will expand therefore the suit will feel slightly less tight!
8. When using the suit do not use Vaseline as it rots the rubber, please use a product like BODY GLIDE which does not affect the neoprene and will stop your neck chaffing!
9. The suit will take approximately 10 - 15 minutes to put on the first few times!!!
Enjoy swimming in your wetsuit!
